
Gamay is a red wine grape variety grown in the Beaujolais region in the south of Burgundy , France. All of the Gamay grapes used in Beaujolais Nouveau are Gamay .
It has a lovely aroma like strawberries, bananas, and candy, and is ruby in color. Gamay is often thought of as something to drink early, but it also becomes a delicious wine when aged.
