This is a white wine grape variety that is widely grown in the Loire region of France and South Africa. It comes in a range of flavors from sweet to dry, and is also used for sparkling wine.
The grape variety is often classified as a neutral variety with a subdued natural aroma, but depending on the fermentation and aging method, it can sometimes produce a distinct aroma like honey or yellow peach.
Generally, dry wines are intended to be drunk quickly and are characterized by their crisp acidity, while sweet wines are intended to be aged for a long time.
