Riedel is a long-established wine glass manufacturer founded in Austria over 260 years ago.
They were the first glass manufacturer to propose the idea that "different types of wine have different glass shapes that bring out the maximum potential of the wine," and this idea is still widely accepted in the wine industry today.
What sparked Riedel's wine glasses to spread around the world was the "Sommelier Series" released in 1973. It is said that this Sommelier Series created the basis for modern wine glasses.
Riedel wine glasses are unique in that they are developed through repeated workshops (tastings) with wine producers.
For example, in the case of New Zealand wine, we have developed a glass called "Central Otago Pinot Noir" (the name has now changed) with the cooperation of winemakers in Central Otago, a famous Pinot Noir producing region.
They also have a product called "Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc," which allows you to enjoy Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc to the fullest.
