An organization of New Zealand wine producers established in March 2002.
New Zealand Winegrowers plays an important role for New Zealand wine, having applied for a Protected Geographical Indication (GI) in 2017 with the aim of protecting New Zealand's wine-producing regions and the wines produced there.
As of 2018, 18 regions have been certified as GI, including Marlborough, Central Otago, and Hawke's Bay.
We also work hard to communicate the appeal of New Zealand wine, including by compiling and publicizing various data about New Zealand wine.
