"Muscat" is a well-known variety in Japan and is a type of Muscat. There are many varieties, and Muscat varieties are sometimes collectively called the "Muscat family."
It is cultivated all over the world, including in the Alsace region of France.
They range from sweet to dry and are characterized by sweet aromas of honey and apricots.
There are grapes with similar names, "Muscadet" (Loire region) and "Muscadelle" (Bordeaux region), but they are completely different varieties.
