Named after the grandmother of the winery's founders, "Emma" is a vineyard where temperatures don't rise excessively, resulting in a Pinot with delicate fruit notes. Its supple, flowing texture evokes a somewhat feminine feel.

Black Estate Netherwood Pinot Noir 2023

Planted in 1986, this wine comes from Netherwood, Waipara's oldest vineyard. Grown without irrigation and with its own roots, the grapes are extremely low yielding, resulting in exceptionally concentrated and complex fruit. Truly Burgundian.

Black Estate Damsteep Pinot Noir 2024

This wine is grown on the steep Dam Steep vineyard, 180m above sea level. The clay soil creates concentrated fruit flavors and a solid structure. It is biodynamically farmed and bottled unfiltered.

Martinborough Vineyard Te Terra Pinot Gris 2024

"Te Tera" means "sun" in Maori. Although the vines are relatively young, this Pinot Gris takes advantage of the bounty of Martinborough to produce a rich, concentrated flavor.
