Main Divide is the casual line from the prestigious Pegasus Bay in Canterbury, South Island.

It's full of "Mademoiselle" flavor . It's very concentrated and has a very clean finish. From the slightly spicy flavor that rises to the palate to the aftertaste, it has a consistent elegance , making it a very well-balanced wine.

Cultivation and brewing
The fruit is harvested in late March, lightly crushed, and after a short skin contact period, it is transferred to old oak barrels.
Fermented with wild yeast, it is then aged quietly in the same barrel for approximately three months. Despite being small-scale, the wine is meticulously handcrafted, resulting in a beautiful harmony of fruit and spice .
Tasting
The color is pale lemon yellow.
The aroma that rises from the glass is lychee, white flowers, ginger, and orange peel. The sweet impression of tropical fruits is complemented by a touch of spice.

Main Divide is the second brand of Pegasus Bay, a prestigious winery representing Canterbury.
The wine is made using grapes sourced from growers across the Waipara Valley and our own grapes, and is vinified by the team at Pegasus Bay.
Main Divide not only produces Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, but also Bordeaux-blend red wines, which are rare in the South Island. All of the wines are fruity yet have a rich, complex flavor.
"Main Divide" is the nickname for the Southern Alps, a mountain range that runs through New Zealand's South Island. The name embodies the idea that the wines reflect the cool, pure climate of the South Island and express the individuality of each region and variety.
About the Canterbury/Waipara region
Canterbury/Waipara is located on the east coast of New Zealand's South Island and is characterized by a cool, dry climate.
North Canterbury, which is the country's largest plain, is also one of the world's leading lamb-producing regions, and the wineries scattered throughout the region offer a wide variety of wines.
