Collection: March 2026: 3 Winery Fairs

Spring is the season of new encounters, isn't it?

At Bokumo Wine, we want everyone to discover new wines (at great prices)! That's why we're holding a special spring fair.

This time, we've selected three wineries.

All of these wines are relatively new to Bokumo Wine, having only recently become part of our lineup. They are produced by winemakers from three regions: Marlborough, Martinborough, and North Canterbury, each creating wines that fully utilize the unique characteristics of their respective terroirs, emphasizing "expression of the land."

We encourage you to find a wine among them that might just become your "new friend."

The wineries I selected are...

Isabel Estate (Marlborough)

For over 40 years, we have remained committed to using our own vineyards in Marlborough. Our wines are fundamentally different from those made using grapes purchased from others. Our planting density is twice that of typical Marlborough vineyards. That's how seriously we engage with the land.

And then there's the price. The more you learn about the quality, the more you'll find yourself grinning and thinking, "Wait, is this really all there is to it?" It's incredibly cost-effective. For those who want to seriously experience the true potential of Marlboro, this is a must-have.

Martinborough Vineyard

If someone asks me, "What kind of wine region is Martinborough?", this is the winery I would recommend they try first. Founded in 1980, they were pioneers in this area, planting Pinot Noir for the first time when hardly any grapes were grown there. The oldest Pinot Noir vine in the region still stands here today.

Martinborough is a region scientifically proven to have the climate and soil closest to those of Burgundy. This winery embodies that potential.

The entry-level Te Tera (Maori for "the other") is a value-for-money series. The higher-end Home Block is a truly satisfying wine that deserves careful consideration. Pinot Noir lovers, this is a must-try.

Black Estate (North Canterbury)

Located in the Omihi district of the Waipara Valley (North Canterbury), about an hour's drive north of Christchurch, this winery is a leading force in the New Zealand natural wine scene and is well-known locally. From vineyard to bottle, they make no compromises, employing biodynamic and organic farming methods, fermenting with wild yeast, and producing unfiltered and unfined wines.

More than fruitiness, it's rich and full-bodied. The more you drink, the deeper the flavor becomes. If you're traveling to Christchurch, be sure to visit the winery. But first, I wanted you to experience its world through a glass, which is why I chose it as a featured item for this fair.

Each winery's offerings are in limited supply. Don't miss out on these new spring discoveries!
