Blank Canvas is a winery founded in Marlborough by winemaking consultant Matt Thomson and his wife Sophie. Matt is a leading New Zealand winemaker, having won Winemaker of the Year at the 2008 International Wine Challenge, and Sophie obtained the Master of Wine, the world's most difficult wine qualification, in 2021.
