A blank canvas that has been highly praised in New Zealand. It pursues not only the strength of the fruit, but also high-quality aroma and complex flavor. A next-generation SB that was completed with thorough attention to detail.
This wine has a wonderful depth and goes well with chicken or pork. Rotisserie chicken and branded pork shabu-shabu are good companions.
About the Winery "Blank Canvas"
Blank Canvas is a Marlborough winery founded by winemaking consultant Matt Thomson and his wife Sophie.
Her husband, Matt, is a leading New Zealand winemaker, having won Winemaker of the Year at the 2008 International Wine Challenge, and his wife, Sophie, obtained the Master of Wine, the world's most difficult wine qualification, in 2021.
Their wines are made from the best grapes grown in carefully selected fields and brewed with the utmost care. In partnership with Sophie MW, Matt's extensive experience and knowledge of over 20 years is expressed in this blank canvas.
About Marlborough
Marlborough is the heart of New Zealand's wine region.
Marlborough has ideal natural conditions for grape growing, such as abundant sunshine and large temperature differences throughout the day, and more than 80% of New Zealand's wine is produced there.
Among them, Sauvignon Blanc, characterized by its crisp acidity and overflowing fruitiness, is produced in overwhelming quantities and is loved worldwide for its unique character. In addition, Pinot Noir, with its rich berry fruit flavor, is also popular among red wines.
