Collection: Gard & Morris

Bokumo Wine is the exclusive importer in Japan of the Marlborough winery "Garde & Moris".

The opportunity to start the exclusive import came last year. When I tasted it locally, I was convinced that "This is perfect for the Japanese palate! These are wines that complement various dining tables, whether Japanese, Western, or Chinese."

With the cooperation of the importer, we received our first shipment last September. Since then, we have received many repeat orders. We are truly grateful.

However, because we received orders at a faster pace than expected, we were unable to keep up with the timing of imports, and recently we have been out of stock for quite a while.

But! This October, the entire lineup is safely back in stock!

And this time, one new wine has been added.

It's a rosé.

This is great. A soft rosé wine made from 100% Pinot Noir. Personally, I like this style of rosé the best. It has fruit flavors like raspberry and apricot, and also a refreshing lime-like quality. Not too rich. Not too light. It has a slightly pleasant bitterness, and almost no sweetness lingers on the tongue. It is crisp and dry, and very easy to pair with food. A taste I want to drink every week!

As expected, rosé is a best match with Chinese food, so I actually brought this wine to a Chinese restaurant and tried various pairings. Stir-fried green vegetables and pork, shrimp shumai, fried Japanese smelt, spiced lamb skewers... It matched perfectly with every dish. It had a wonderful versatility!

By the way, this wine has also received a high rating of 94 points (5 stars) from the New Zealand wine evaluation magazine "WineOrbit".
