The event we announced a while ago is now confirmed to be taking place.

It all started at a recent seminar held by the Sommelier Association.

The theme of the event was "local production for local consumption," and the idea was to enjoy Aichi beverages together with Nagoya specialties, but the pairing of "Komaki Winery Wine" and "Miso Kushikatsu" served on the day was quite difficult...

Based on that experience,

It would be a shame if the only impression left was that a delicious local wine doesn't go very well with misokatsu!

So let's find a Nagoya specialty that goes perfectly with our local wine, Komaki Winery wine.

We have come up with this idea and have come up with a plan.

"Komaki Winery x Aichi Food

Pairing Lab"

On this day, Bokumo was in a lab.

This event is not what we would call "normal business hours for a restaurant."

This is an experiential event where participants are free to experiment and find their own answers.

Here's what we have for you...

Komaki Winery's signature wines include "Komaki Blanc" and "Komaki Rouge".

The menu also includes eight types of snacks for takeout, including Aichi's local delicacies: fried shrimp, thickened spaghetti, chicken wings, Ajisen side dishes, and Yamatoya Moriguchizuke Sohonke's sake lees pickles.

(By the way, Bokumo will not be open for business on that day and the kitchen will be closed.)

We will be inviting Mr. Shirai from Komaki Winery as our guest. I hope we can discover a nice pair together while listening to stories about wine and wineries.

By the way, the biggest feature of Komaki Winery is that it is challenging itself to do both: making delicious wine and employing people with disabilities.

On this day, if you discover that "Komaki Winery's wines can be enjoyed in such pairs," then that wine will become for you "a wine that knows how to pair with food" and "a wine that can easily be incorporated into everyday life."

And if someone thinks, "I'm going to make this for dinner, so I'll buy some Komaki wine," that purchasing action will lead to supporting the independence of people with disabilities. I hope that a chain reaction like that can be created.

As an added extra fun, we will also be pairing New Zealand wine with local gourmet food.

Personally, I think New Zealand wines can be paired with a wide range of foods. I would like to take this opportunity to try pairing them with Aichi food and find the perfect match.
