Kimura Cellars Pinot Noir

Japanese people spreading their wings around the world!

The 2019 Pinot won a gold medal at the International Wine Challenge. This 2021 is very close to that award. It has an exquisite balance of cherry fruitiness and oak aromas.

Kimura Pino has a mellow flavor and goes very well with Japanese food. Why not try it with duck and green onion hotpot, mackerel stewed in miso, or beef and burdock root stew?

Kimura's latest work

Sauvignon Blanc made in Kimura Shigehisa's own vineyard. This latest vintage is reminiscent of pears and lemons. It is characterized by a crisp acidity and clean taste.

It goes well with dishes that are sour and oily. Try pairing it with pork cutlet with grated daikon radish and ponzu sauce, or pork and Chinese cabbage millefeuille hotpot.

About the Winery "Kimura Cellars"

Kimura Cellars logo

KIMURA CELLARS is a family-run winery run by Japanese owner Shigehisa Kimura.

Kimura studied wine brewing and viticulture in New Zealand and gained experience working in cultivation and brewing at several local wineries before founding Kimura Cellars in Marlborough in 2009.

Based on the concepts of "wine where you can see the face of the maker" and "producers who are close to consumers," we carefully create wine using organic farming methods.

Mr. and Mrs. Kimura

In 2018, they finally started growing grapes in their own fields, and are now focusing even more on organic farming methods.

The Kimura Cellars logo is a cherry blossom representation of the new shoots of the fern (koru), a symbolic plant of New Zealand. The fern is a symbol of New Zealand and represents "new beginnings," "growth," and "harmony."

It seems that Kimura's wines are often enjoyed on special occasions such as wedding anniversaries.
