Halloween is all about dressing up. The Vandals have a mysterious side to them, as they always wear masks when they are photographed... Why not try out the unique wines of these masked men on Halloween?

Introducing the wines
The unorthodox orange wine "Vandal Gonzo Milesha 2021"
Orange wine made from a field blend of seven types of grapes. Fermented and aged in barrels using wild yeast. Bottled without clarification or filtration. A unique wine that is a modern revival of traditional winemaking techniques.
This spicy wine goes well with meat dishes such as braised pork and roast beef. It is also suitable for Chinese stir-fries such as green pepper and pork stir-fry.
My impression when I drank it was that it tasted like a proper orange wine . It is a very natural, flavorful and delicious wine.

Pino + α = New personality "Vandal Gonzo Combat Rouge 2021"
An unconventional wine made from a bold blend of Pinot Noir, the white grape Viognier, and the black grape Cabernet Franc. Enjoy the gentle berry flavor and pleasant astringency.
This is a wine with tannins, so it would be best to pair it with meat. It goes well with simply sauteed lamb or beef with spices.
The impression I got from this Combat Rouge was that the individual characteristics of each grape played a distinct role.

About "Vandal"
Vandal is a project started in 2016 by three winemakers based in the Marlborough region.
It is thought that the contributors are likely famous winemakers, but the project is labelled as a "secret project" and no individuals have been named.
The stylish promotional image in which he appears wearing a white mask is a must-see.
"Vandal" means "destroyer," and the series name "Gonzo" means "unconventional."
These names represent their aggressive policy of breaking away from the traditions of Marlborough, New Zealand's biggest tobacco producing region, and pursuing new styles.
It is released every year in early spring, around March to April in Japan, but it is a wine with many fans that always sells out quickly.
