Chablis-esque Waitaki Chardonnay
Produced in extremely small quantities even within the already limited Waitaki region. Barrel-fermented, barrel-aged, and unfiltered. Its unique flavor from the limestone soil is sometimes described as the closest thing to Chablis in New Zealand.
It pairs wonderfully with seafood, enhancing the dining experience. Crab, shrimp, oysters, and scallops are particularly excellent matches.

Valli's greatest strength lies in the collaboration of two world-class winemakers.
Grant Taylor (Founder)
A leading pioneer in New Zealand. He is the only legendary winemaker in the world to have won the unprecedented "Best Pinot Noir Award" four times at international competitions in London.
Jen Parr (Co-Winemaker)
A talented winemaker who joined in 2015. She is from the United States and has extensive experience both domestically and internationally, having also won the "New Zealand Winemaker of the Year Award."
Four Vineyards with Distinct Personalities
Valli primarily produces Pinot Noir, the king of red wines, as well as white wines such as Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, and Riesling. The four regions (vineyards) they work with each have completely different characteristics.
Gibbston
Characteristics
A very cool place where grapes ripen most slowly.
Flavor Profile
Slow ripening results in an elegant, refined, complex, and delicate flavor. Rare "orange wines" are also produced here.
Bannockburn
Characteristics
Only 20km from Gibbston, but a warmer area.
Flavor Profile
The wines are dark in color, with powerful fruit flavors and a moderate astringency that builds a strong structure, resulting in a robust wine.
Bendigo
Characteristics
A warm vineyard with constant sunshine and good heat retention.
Flavor Profile
Characterized by a rich, full-bodied, and voluminous flavor, described as a "friendly beast."
Waitaki
Characteristics
A new region established in 2004. The soil is limestone, similar to the prestigious Burgundy region of France.
Flavor Profile
Features a gorgeous, perfumed aroma, crisp, clear acidity, and minerality. The Chardonnay, in particular, is considered exceptional.
Valli Wine is a winery born from the fusion of New Zealand's magnificent nature and the extraordinary skill of two artisans.
Even without difficult technical knowledge, the greatest appeal is that you can clearly experience the difference in terroir (the character of the land) by simply "comparing wines from different vineyards."
About the Central Otago Region
Central Otago, the southernmost wine region in New Zealand, is renowned for its Pinot Noir, and is often counted among the "world's top three Pinot Noir regions," alongside Burgundy and Oregon.
Besides Pinot Noir, the region also focuses on cultivating aromatic white grape varieties. This area is the only semi-continental climate among NZ's wine regions, characterized by large diurnal temperature swings, coolness, and extreme dryness.
It is also a treasure trove of small wineries, and winery tours based in the picturesque town of Queenstown are popular.
