Limited edition of 2000 serial numbered Pinots
Two Rivers is a Marlborough winery that is constantly challenging itself and evolving.
This winery has an impression of producing catchy, accessible wines, and at the moment, its main focus is on its limited production series, marked by its trademark "black sash label."
Like the Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay in the same series, only 2,000 bottles of this Pinot Noir are produced each year , and each one is sold with an individual serial number .
This is a Pinot Noir made with minimal human intervention, embodied in their commitment to quality.
The grapes are grown on the steep slopes of the Southern Valley , which has the most pronounced temperature differences within Marlborough.
The densely planted vines are made from four different clones and are 22 years old.
Fermentation is carried out in open fermentation tanks using wild yeasts , with manual punchdowns along the way. Of particular note is the incorporation of 25% whole-cluster fermentation to create a complex flavor profile.
After fermentation, the wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barriques and cuves, then bottled unfined and unfiltered with low added sulfites , and aged for a further 16 months in bottle before being released.
Aroma and taste
Along with the sweet aroma of raspberry and dark cherry , you can also feel a smoky nuance.
In the mouth, you can feel the rich and smooth fruit flavor, and also feel the non-fruit elements such as leaf mold, clove, and nutmeg . You can also feel the chalky minerality in the long aftertaste.

It uses a diameter cork and is sealed with a wax cap , so to uncork it, insert the screw of a wine opener through the wax cap and apply force to remove the cork.
About Two Rivers Winery
Two Rivers is a winery founded in 2004 by winemaker David Clouston, who was born and raised in Marlborough.
The son of a fifth-generation farmer in Marlborough, he became interested in wine at the age of 17 and studied cultivation and brewing in New Zealand. After that, he experienced winemaking in 25 vintages in countries around the world, including New Zealand, France, Spain, Corsica, the United States, and Chile, before returning to New Zealand and starting up this winery.
The name "Two Rivers" comes from Marlborough's two most iconic rivers, the Wairau River and the Awatere River.
In 2019, the company also fully launched its long-awaited in-house brewery, "The Wine Studio." Huge, state-of-the-art stainless steel tanks are lined up alongside concrete egg tanks and amphorae, and the brewery's appearance conveys the company's respect for classical winemaking while also always seeking to try new methods.
