About the Totara Wines Winery

Totara Wines is a joint venture between Opici Wines of the US and Endeavour Vineyards of Marlborough, New Zealand.

The winery employs former Cloudy Bay winemaker Alan Peters Oswald, who produces flavoursome, concentrated wines that take advantage of the land and climate of Marlborough.

Totara Wines uses grapes from certified sustainable vineyards primarily in the Wairau Valley and Wairau Lowlands to create classic Marlborough varietals (Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir) in a uniquely New Zealand style.

"Totara" is the name of a huge tree native to New Zealand with a long history. The Totara tree, known for its strength and durability, has long been revered by the indigenous Maori people. Totara Wines aims to be that kind of brand.
