Seyfried is the oldest winery in Nelson, New Zealand's South Island. Old Coach Road is a fresh, casual series from Seyfried.
Among them, this Sauvignon Blanc offers an exceptionally fruity taste at a great value.
Nelson is a relatively small wine-producing region in New Zealand, just under two hours' drive from the major wine-producing region of Marlborough, but it has a different character from Marlborough.
The region is bordered by Tasman Bay to the east and Kahurangi National Park to the west, and its topography is a mix of coastal plains and hilly areas leading up to the mountains.
Among them, Old Coach Road is a well-balanced wine made using grapes from vineyards in the Brightwater region at the foot of the mountains and the Motueka region near the coast.
In both vineyards, we take advantage of Nelson's abundant sunshine by removing the leaves around the grapes to ensure they receive sufficient sunlight. This also ensures adequate ventilation and reduces the risk of disease. The healthy, fully ripe grapes grown in this way produce this fresh wine.
Tasting Notes
In addition to the refreshing scent of lime and gooseberry , the rich aroma of fresh herbs is also impressive.
On the palate, fruit flavors of lime , pink grapefruit, and apple spread, along with a lively acidity. Furthermore, the refreshing herbs of sage and mint tickle the nose. The fruit and herbs blend together in a pleasant harmony, creating an exquisite balance. Serve well chilled to bring out the charm of this wine even more.

About the Seyfried Estate Winery
Seifried Estate is a winery founded by the Seifrieds, immigrants from Austria. They began cultivating vineyards in the 1970s and are now known as the oldest winery in the Nelson region. They specialize in Austrian and German varieties, which are the breeding grounds of their native Austrians, and have won numerous international awards.
About Nelson
Nelson is located in the northern part of the South Island and is affectionately known as "Sunny Nelson" due to the extremely long hours of sunshine it enjoys throughout the year.
This relatively small wine-producing region is mostly made up of small wineries known as boutique wineries.
Taking advantage of the abundant sunshine, aromatic white wines such as Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, and Pinot Gris are mainly produced. Pinot Noir, with its robust fruit flavor, is popular among red wines. Nelson is also famous for its hops and fruit production.
