Rich White with Jasmine Fragrance
A Gewürztraminer with a pleasant jasmine aroma.
It has a rich flavor with a bittersweet citrus peel finish.
It also has a mineral quality, making it a white wine that pairs well with food.
It pairs exceptionally well with Chinese cuisine. Dishes like Green Pepper Steak, Fried Chicken with Sweet and Sour Sauce, and Mapo Tofu are excellent matches.
Liver pâté and washed-rind cheeses are also good.
About the Winery: Lawson's Dry Hills
Lawson's Dry Hills is a Marlborough winery established by Ross and Barbara Lawson.
They originally cultivated and sold grapes as growers, but in 1992, they started producing wine under their own brand. The couple has since retired, and the winery is now managed by Tim and Pauline Evill.
Lawson's Dry Hills is known as a producer of excellent white wines, including Gewürztraminer—which was among the first grapes planted in Marlborough when the winery was established—as well as Riesling, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc. Their Gewürztraminer and Sauvignon Blanc, in particular, are highly acclaimed within New Zealand.
Member of "The Family of Twelve"
Lawson's Dry Hills is a member of "The Family of Twelve," an organization comprising 12 prominent wineries in New Zealand.
Established in 2005, this organization promotes NZ wine overseas.
In addition to Lawson's, members include wineries such as Villa Maria, Milton Vineyards, Ata Rangi, Palliser Estate, Neudorf Vineyards, Pegasus Bay, and Felton Road.
About the Region: Marlborough

With abundant sunshine and large diurnal temperature variations, it boasts favorable natural conditions for grape cultivation. Over 80% of NZ's wine is produced in Marlborough.
