Well-balanced dry Riesling
Huia makes handmade, organic wines. This dry Riesling has a refreshing acidity and a strong mineral taste. It doesn't feel oily at all.
Recommended dishes include boiled sausages, bacon and potato pot-au-feu, salted boiled pork, etc. Prosciutto and fruit salad also go well with this dish.
About the Winery "Fuia"
Huia Vineyards is a winery established in Marlborough by Alan and his wife in 1990. Their first vintage was in 1997, and they have been practicing organic farming ever since.
The owners and winemakers, Alan and his wife, were both born in New Zealand. They met at Roseworthy University in Australia and studied oenology there. After graduating, they gained experience in Champagne and local wineries.
Based on the idea that "great wine needs great land and people," Fuia makes wine using as natural methods as possible, including biodynamic farming, and has obtained organic certification. They do not use pesticides, insecticides, or herbicides in their vineyards, graze sheep and chickens, and raise honeybees.
In addition, they practice sustainable farming methods, such as minimizing human intervention by mainly using natural yeast in the brewing process, and composting grape skins produced during the brewing process and returning them to the fields.
In Marlborough, a large wine-producing region where large-scale mechanization is on the rise, Feuilla is committed to organic and biodynamic farming methods, and makes wine while valuing coexistence with nature. Their wines have a gentle atmosphere.

Marlborough has ideal natural conditions for grape growing, such as abundant sunshine and large temperature differences throughout the day, and more than 80% of New Zealand's wine is produced there.
Among them, Sauvignon Blanc, characterized by its crisp acidity and overflowing fruitiness, is produced in overwhelming quantities and is loved worldwide for its unique character. In addition, Pinot Noir, with its rich berry fruit flavor, is also popular among red wines.
