A berry-flavored Pinot that flows easily
Fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged in old barrels for 6 months.
It has a rich berry aroma and a strong fruity taste.
There is also a slight spiciness in the aftertaste.
A good pairing would be sauteed pork with ketchup sauce or pasta with tomato sauce.
If you're looking for Japanese food, grilled mackerel sushi is a surprisingly good match.
About Two Rivers Winery
Two Rivers is a winery founded in 2004 by winemaker David Clouston, who was born and raised in Marlborough.
The son of a fifth-generation farmer in Marlborough, he became interested in wine at the age of 17 and studied cultivation and brewing in New Zealand. After that, he experienced winemaking in 25 vintages in countries around the world, including New Zealand, France, Spain, Corsica, the United States, and Chile, before returning to New Zealand and starting up this winery.
The name "Two Rivers" comes from Marlborough's two most iconic rivers, the Wairau River and the Awatere River.
In 2019, the company also fully launched its long-awaited in-house brewery, "The Wine Studio." Huge, state-of-the-art stainless steel tanks are lined up alongside concrete egg tanks and amphorae, and the brewery's appearance conveys the company's respect for classical winemaking while also always seeking to try new methods.
This wine, "Black Cottage," is another range from Two Rivers, which operates under the concept of "Wines with Gusto." The aim is to make wines that are more approachable and simply delicious.

Marlborough has ideal natural conditions for grape growing, such as abundant sunshine and large temperature differences throughout the day, and more than 80% of New Zealand's wine is produced there.
Among them, Sauvignon Blanc, characterized by its crisp acidity and overflowing fruitiness, is produced in overwhelming quantities and is loved worldwide for its unique character. In addition, Pinot Noir, with its rich berry fruit flavor, is also popular among red wines.
