▶︎Clos Henri Petit Clos Sauvignon Blanc 2020
The Sauvignon Blanc produced in New Zealand by Henri Bourgeois, a leading winery in Sancerre, Loire Valley, France, stands out from the typical Marlborough fruit bomb style.
It is not overpowering, but very elegant, with a well-balanced taste of each element. It has a strong mineral taste and a long aftertaste. The gentle umami flavor spreads throughout your mouth.
It goes perfectly with grilled salted white fish or grilled herb chicken.
"Clos Henri Petit Clos Pinot Noir 2020" Product Information
SALE price: ¥3,960 → ¥3,168 (tax included) [20% OFF]

▶︎Clos Henri Petit Clos Pinot Noir 2020
Petit Clos Pinot Noir is fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged in barrels for 11 months. It has just the right amount of freshness and fruitiness without being overpowering. It has a solid, complex depth. It is not only comparable to French Pinots of the same price, but I think it is actually quite good value for money.
It pairs perfectly with grilled salmon and roasted chicken with herbs. It also goes well with ravioli and lasagna in tomato sauce.
About Clos Henri

Clos Henri is a winery founded by the Henri Bourgeois family, famous wine producers in the Loire region of France.
The Bourgeois family has been running a wine business in Sancerre for 10 generations. Among their wines, they are especially known for their Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, which are made with great care for the terroir (the natural environment in which the grapes are grown).
When the brothers Jean-Marie and the late Rémi Bourgeois took over the Bourgeois family business, they saw the potential of the world's wine regions and began exploring new lands.
After 12 years of research, they discovered land in Marlborough in 2000. In the Wairau Valley, formed by ancient glaciers over millions of years, they found soil most similar to their native Sancerre.
They then purchased 98 hectares of land in the Wairau Valley which they named Clos Henri.
The wines they aim to produce in Marlborough are French-style, different from those produced by other New Zealand producers, producing textured, elegant wines that impress Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir fans around the world.
In addition, Clos Henri is certified by BioGro, a strict New Zealand organic certification agency, and uses biodynamic methods in its grape cultivation.
