This wine is made with wild yeast and carbonic maceration. 70% is whole-cluster fermentation. This unique red wine is a perfect blend of the berry flavor of Pinot, the structure of Cabernet Franc, and the elegance of Viognier.

This is a wine with tannins, so it would be best to pair it with meat. It goes well with simply sauteed lamb or beef with spices.

About "Vandal"

VANDAL

Vandal is a project started in 2016 by three winemakers based in the Marlborough region.

It is thought that the contributors are likely famous winemakers, but the project is labelled as a "secret project" and no individuals have been named.

The stylish promotional image in which he appears wearing a white mask is a must-see.

VANDAL

"Vandal" means "destroyer."

These names represent their aggressive policy of breaking away from the traditions of Marlborough, New Zealand's biggest tobacco producing region, and pursuing new styles.

It is released every year in early spring, around March to April in Japan, but it is a wine with many fans that always sells out quickly.

Marlborough is the heart of New Zealand's wine region.

Marlborough has ideal natural conditions for grape growing, such as abundant sunshine and large temperature differences throughout the day, and more than 80% of New Zealand's wine is produced there.
