A harmonious Chardonnay

This Chardonnay has a lovely aroma of white peach and ripe plum. The mellowness spreads in the mouth and the flavor of the oak is pleasantly harmonious. The aftertaste is slightly creamy.

It pairs well with grilled salmon, sautéed chicken, roasted pork, etc. Adding a squeeze of lemon makes it even more delicious. It also goes well with pasta in cream sauce.

About the Palliser Estate Winery

Palliser Estate is a leading winery in Martinborough, Wairarapa, that has been producing premium wines for over 20 years. The first vines were planted in 1984 and the estate was established in 1989.

Since Alan Johnson, now a leading figure in the New Zealand wine industry, became chief winemaker in 1991, the winery has won numerous awards both at home and abroad, including the London International Wine Challenge.

In addition, in winemaking, the company is committed to sustainable activities from three perspectives: soil (natural environment), people (local community), and business (corporate responsibility), and is known as a pioneer of environmentally friendly wineries.

Palliser Estate releases two series of wines: "Estate" and "Pencarrow." "Estate" is made primarily from low-yielding grapes from old vines. "Pencarrow" is reasonably priced, yet has a fruity, well-balanced, and approachable flavor.

About the Wairarapa region

Wairarapa is located in the southeastern part of New Zealand's North Island, and is a popular resort area with easy access, just about an hour's drive from the capital, Wellington.

The Martinborough subregion in this region has climate and soil conditions very similar to those of Burgundy in France, and is known as one of the world's top producers of Pinot Noir.
