The wine needs a little time to open up after uncorking. It truly comes into its own when paired with beef steak or Japanese-style grilled meat. For pasta, it pairs beautifully with Bolognese.

About the Winery "Main Divide"

Main Divide is the second label from the prestigious Canterbury winery, "Pegasus Bay."

The wines are made using a combination of grapes sourced from growers across the Waipara Valley and the estate's own grapes, with vinification handled by the Pegasus Bay team.

Main Divide is unique for producing not only Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, but also Bordeaux-blend red wines, which are rare on the South Island. Each wine is crafted to be both fruity and possess a solid, complex depth.
