This premium Reserve cuvée utilizes grapes from multiple areas to create a complex, umami-rich wine with a distinct mineral character.
It pairs exceptionally well with herb-forward dishes such as salmon marinated in dill or a Margherita pizza. It also complements ethnic cuisine like fresh spring rolls.
Gorgeous Fruitiness
While Marlborough is the premier region for NZ wine, the term "Marlborough" encompasses many different styles of Sauvignon Blanc.
This wine is a Sauvignon Blanc crafted using grapes from two sub-regions within Marlborough: the Awatere Valley and the Wairau Valley. It is a well-balanced blend of vibrant, fruity grapes and grapes with firmer acidity that provide a solid structure.
On the nose, it features prominent herbal notes, centered around fruit aromas such as passion fruit and lime.
With 10% naturally fermented in barrels and aged on the lees for four months with regular stirring, the resulting wine is complex with a three-dimensional depth of flavor.
The finish offers a touch of bitterness and minerality, making this a Sauvignon Blanc that is very easy to pair with food.

About the Winery: "Lawson's Dry Hills"
Lawson's Dry Hills is a Marlborough winery founded by Ross and Barbara Lawson.
They were originally grape growers who sold their fruit, but they began producing wine under their own brand in 1992. Today, the winery is managed by Tim and Pauline Evill, taking over for the retired couple.
Lawson's Dry Hills is known as a producer of excellent white wines, including Gewürztraminer—reportedly the first planted in Marlborough when the winery was established—as well as Riesling, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc. They are particularly highly regarded within NZ for their Gewürztraminer and Sauvignon Blanc.
Member of "The Family of Twelve"
Lawson's Dry Hills is a member of "The Family of Twelve," an organization of twelve prominent NZ wineries.
Established in 2005, this organization conducts promotional activities for NZ wine abroad.
In addition to Lawson's, other member wineries include Villa Maria, Milton Vineyards, Ata Rangi, Palliser Estate, Neudorf Vineyards, Pegasus Bay, and Felton Road.
