A delicious Pinot Gris
When poured into the glass, it has a bright pale straw color.
The intense aroma of ripe pear, lychee, and citrus is layered with nuances of white flowers and subtle spices. In the mouth, the concentrated fruitiness and the oily, smooth texture typical of Pinot Gris spread.
The 2025 vintage in particular offers an excellent balance of juicy fruit sweetness and crisp acidity. The pleasant bitterness and umami linger in the aftertaste, making it a perfect match for food.
Frog Croaking Winery
Grove Mill is a winery that has been pioneering sustainable winemaking since the 1980s, a practice that is now commonplace.
The frogs (Southern Bell Frogs) depicted on the label live in the wetlands next to the winery, and their lively croaking is proof that the environment is healthy.
The beer is made while protecting Marlborough's natural environment, with over 300 solar panels installed and the bottles made from lightweight recycled glass.
Cultivation and brewing information
The weather in 2025 was extremely favorable. This Pinot Gris was harvested during the cool night hours and fermented at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness of the fruit.
Furthermore, after fermentation, the wine is aged on the lees for three months , which not only makes it fruity but also adds weight and texture to the palate.

About the Grove Mill Winery
Grove Mill was founded in 1988 in the Wairau Valley, the heart of Marlborough's wine region, by a group of local grape growers and enthusiasts.
Long before the concept of sustainability became widespread, they continued to produce premium, handcrafted wines with minimal impact on the environment, becoming pioneers of local, circular winemaking.
The Southern Belle Frog, featured in the label design, is a symbol of their commitment to protecting local land for future generations.
The Wairau Valley region is named after the Wairau River, which flows east to west from the mountains to the Pacific Ocean. The shallow, stony, well-drained soil is ideal for growing wine grapes, producing a distinctive, flavorful fruit character.
