A small winery by young female winemaker Julianne Broden. This rosé has a very dry taste, with citrus and berry flavors and a mineral feel. It is a delicious rosé wine chilled.

Dry rosé goes well with appetizers, fish and meat, especially with sautéed salmon and grilled chicken, and also with Chinese cuisine.

We have received a dry rosé wine from Collaboration Wines, a winery that produces less than 2,000 cases per year!

The first thing that catches your eye is the beautiful art label.

When Collaboration Wines winemaker Julianne Broden was training in the United States, she rented a room from an artist called Angela Tyrrell.

This label is a painting by Angela.

The wine is a pale salmon pink in color.

It has refreshing flavors of citrus fruits like lime and lemon, berries like raspberry, and jasmine, and is very dry on the palate.

The alcohol content is relatively low at 11.5%, making it refreshing and light to enjoy.

However, the taste is by no means monotonous. The slight bitterness and minerality that remains in your mouth after swallowing is very pleasant, inspiring you to enjoy it alternately with your meal.

This wine pairs well with appetizers, seafood and meat dishes.

This means it can be paired with a pretty wide range of dishes!

In particular, it goes particularly well with herb-sauteed salmon and spicy grilled chicken.

It also goes well with Korean and Chinese cuisine. The wine will not get in the way of appetizers with a mild flavor, and it will help to reduce the oiliness of slightly oily dishes.

It's sure to come in handy at potluck parties and BBQs where a variety of foods are served.

About the Winery "Collaboration Wines"

Collaboration Wines is a boutique winery in the Hawke's Bay region of New Zealand's North Island, founded in 2010 by winemaker Julianne Brogden.

She gained experience in Napa Valley and Margaret River in Australia, and is convinced that even on a small scale, if you focus on quality, you can make excellent wine. Based on this philosophy, she continues to produce small-scale wines, less than 2,000 cases per year.

Their wines, which value craftsmanship and terroir and pursue sustainable winemaking, are the perfect choice for consumers looking for premium New Zealand wines.

Winemaking philosophy

With the motto "Small is beautiful," she makes wines that reflect the individuality of the land and are focused on quality with attention to detail, making use of her 30 years of experience. Brogden oversees everything from cultivation to brewing, and grows grapes in cooperation with excellent growers. She values collaboration between grape growers and winemakers, which is why the winery's name is derived from that.

Winemaking and terroir

They believe that "work in the fields is the beginning of winemaking," and they strictly control the quality of the grapes at harvest. All the grapes are hand-picked and brewed in small batches. The red wines are aged for a long time in French oak, and the white wines are barrel-fermented and oak-aged. They bottle the wines unclarified and unfiltered to bring out the maximum natural flavor.

Awards and Recognition

Their wines are highly regarded both at home and abroad. Their first year's wine, 2010, was selected as one of the top 100 wines by Gourmet Traveller Wine. Since then, they have received five-star reviews from renowned New Zealand wine critics and high scores from Master of Wine Bob Campbell. Their wines are also served in high-end restaurants and luxury lodges throughout New Zealand, establishing them as a trusted brand.

Sustainability Initiatives

They place importance on environmental conservation and are certified by Sustainable Winegrowing NZ (SWNZ). They minimize the use of chemicals and practice winemaking with a low environmental impact. They use recyclable materials for labels and packaging materials and aim for sustainable wine production.

About Hawke's Bay

Hawke's Bay is located in the eastern part of the North Island and is characterized by abundant sunshine and a relatively warm climate, and boasts the second largest grape-growing area in Australia.

Hawke's Bay specializes in producing red wines, particularly those made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec and Syrah, while fruity Chardonnay is a popular white wine.

The Gimlet Gravels, an area created when what was originally a riverbed was pushed up by an earthquake, is one of Hawke's Bay's important sub-regions.
