It has a subdued acidity and a mellow taste. It has a flavor reminiscent of ripe peaches and pear compote. When thoroughly chilled, it's dry, but if you let the temperature rise a bit, a gentle sweetness emerges.
It pairs well with chicken dishes such as chicken tenderloin cheese fry, chicken and cashew stir-fry, Samgyetang, and Singapore chicken rice.

About the winery "Two Rivers"
Two Rivers is a winery established in 2004 by winemaker David Clouston, who was born and raised in Marlborough.
As the son of a farmer whose family has been in Marlborough for five generations, he became interested in wine at 17 and studied viticulture and winemaking in New Zealand. Afterward, he gained experience making 25 vintages of wine in various countries around the world, including NZ, France, Spain, Corsica, America, and Chile, before returning to NZ to establish this winery.
"Two Rivers" is named after the two rivers that represent Marlborough: the Wairau River and the Awatere River.
In 2019, their long-awaited winery, "The Wine Studio," became fully operational. The winery, with its giant state-of-the-art stainless steel tanks, concrete egg tanks, and amphorae, reflects a commitment to classic winemaking while also embracing new techniques.
This wine, "Black Cottage," is another range from Two Rivers, conceptualized as "Wines with Gusto." The aim is to create approachable and simply delicious wines.

"Marlborough" is the heart of New Zealand's wine region.
With abundant sunshine and large diurnal temperature variations, favorable natural conditions for grape growth are met, and Marlborough produces over 80% of NZ's wine.
Among these, Sauvignon Blanc, characterized by its crisp acidity and overflowing fruit flavors, boasts an overwhelming production volume and is widely loved worldwide as a unique character. For red wines, Pinot Noir, with its rich berry fruit flavors, is popular.
