The southernmost Pinot in New Zealand is full of charm
From Central Otago, the southernmost region of New Zealand. Strong fruitiness. Smooth tannins. The sweetness of the oak barrels adds depth. A high-quality Pinot with a good balance of each element.
It goes well with meat dishes such as beef tongue, lamb steak, and chicken liver confit. It also goes well with Japanese dishes such as sweet and spicy beef and lotus root.

Founded in Marlborough in 1990, Allan Scott Family Winemakers has made a name for itself in the competitive wine industry.
Alan has been in the wine business for nearly 40 years and is one of Marlborough's most experienced winemakers.
When Alan and his wife Catherine moved to Marlborough in 1973 he began work on new vineyards.

In 1980, Alan took on the key role of overseeing the establishment of Marlborough vineyards.
This experience marked a major step forward for the family as they embarked on winemaking, and in 1975 they purchased land and established themselves as independent winemakers in Marlborough.
When Alan Scott Wines was founded in 1990, he said, "We were one of the first independent wineries." Over the decades since, the winery has undergone numerous transformations and evolved to meet market demands.
One of the greatest attractions of this winery is that it is a true family business, with Alan and Cathy's son Josh and daughter Sarah taking over the business and leading the production, management and development of the company together with a seasoned operations team.
Allan Scott Estate wines are made from the finest grapes, including a range of single vineyard prestige wines. In 1999 the Cecilia series was released and now three sparkling wines are produced from the estate.
About Central Otago
Central Otago, the southernmost region in the country, is known as a famous Pinot Noir producing area and is called one of the "three major Pinot Noir producing areas in the world" along with Burgundy and Oregon.
In addition to Pinot Noir, we are focusing on growing aromatic white grapes. This region is the only one of New Zealand's wine producing regions with a semi-continental climate, characterized by large daily temperature differences, coolness, and extreme dryness.
The region is also home to a wealth of small wineries, and winery tours based in the scenic town of Queenstown are popular.
