Based in Marlborough on New Zealand's South Island, Elemental Distillers is a craft distillery with radical transparency and sustainability at its heart.

Located in a world-famous wine-producing region, this distillery places great importance on clearly showing where the raw materials come from, who handled them, and how, and has put in place a thorough system that allows for tracking everything from procurement to distillation.

The distillery is built using upcycled shipping containers and combines environmentally friendly features such as solar power, a water recycling system and a worm farm.

The very structure of the building embodies their sustainability philosophy.

These efforts have been internationally recognized, with the company earning B Corp certification, a third-party verification that it practices ethics, transparency, and environmental responsibility.

At the heart of this distillery is co-founder Ben Leggett.

He worked as a bartender and brand ambassador in London for 14 years, experiencing the world's spirits culture.

After returning to Japan, he spent four years developing recipes and small-scale distilling to create his own unique style. He also has a strong technical background, holds WSET and IBD qualifications, and is the only instructor in New Zealand qualified to teach "WSET Spirits Level 3."

His career is not simply a venture by a spirits enthusiast, but a venture undertaken by a professional honed through both specialized education and practical experience.

Elemental Distillers' spirits have also won numerous awards around the world and are internationally recognized for their quality.

Even without naming specific awards, the fact that the brand has received numerous awards in various countries greatly boosts its credibility.

These spirits are carefully crafted in small batches and can be enjoyed with their own stories behind them.
