Where should I store my wine?

From autumn to spring, you can store the wine you purchase in a place that is not exposed to much sunlight, such as a hallway or a room that you don't regularly use.

If you plan to store it until summer or later, a wine cellar would be ideal.

However, this may not be realistic in many cases, so we would like you to move them to the vegetable compartment of the refrigerator as the temperature rises.

The ideal storage temperature is 15°C, but any temperature between 5°C and 20°C should be fine.

The appropriate temperature for consumption is different from the storage temperature, so please refer to the following.

Drinking temperature

  • Sparkling wine and white wine → Around 8℃ (6-10℃)
  • Red wine → Around 18℃ (14℃ to 20℃)
  • Rosé wine → For a light drink, drink around 8℃ → For meat, drink between 12 and 18℃
  • Orange wine → 10℃ to 16℃

*The same information as above will be included with your wine shipment.

The temperature of a typical refrigerator is around 0 to 10 degrees Celsius. Some people find that red wine tastes bitter if they drink it straight out of the refrigerator.

Depending on the type of wine and your preferences, it may be a good idea to leave it out of the refrigerator for about 1-2 hours before serving.
